macOSでは、テキストボックスやテキストエリア等のUIは、Emacsのキーバインディングで操作できます。
その際、Ctrl+Hでカーソル前の文字を削除できるのですが、Emacsだとこれが出来ません。macOS上のEmacsキーバインディングに慣れた身には、これがとても不便。そこで、Emacsでこれを行えるようにします。
~/.emacsを編集します。ファイルが存在しない場合は、作成して下さい。
下記の１行を追加します。
1 | (keyboard-translate ?\C-h ?\C-?) |
ファイルを保存します。Emacsを起動してCtrl-Hを試して見て下さい。カーソル前の文字を削除できるはずです。
